Mentors are not there to give you a vision. They are there to guide you to your destination and your vision. Every mentorship should have predetermined goals from the onset and should have KPIs to gauge if progress is being made and not really wasting each other's time.

Caution: Some mentors are fake and are only there to try and live their lives through you and participate in helping you make huge mistakes, especially monetary ones. They learn through you and not the other way round. Avoid those by all means.
