An unemployed and unhappy youth is tantamount to a very scary and bleak future!
South Africa's youth is not happy and obviously no one can be happy when confronted by the high rate of unemployment and poverty.
Unemployment and poverty brings pains and unhappiness to humanity, especially the youth and we must therefore, as a society and youth in particular, ask really hard questions.
The Youth Unemployment high rate of over 70% is very concerning and questions are ought to be asked, that is, why do we find ourselves in this situation? Why is the current economic system not creating jobs for our youth? Who should create these jobs? What should be done to address the youth unemployment?
These are serous questions that we should discuss and try to analyze the situation historically and dialectically. Why this economy is not responding as we would like it to? It is through this analysis that we may find a resolve to this youth unemployment.
Now is an opportune time for the youth to ask what is their contribution as this current generation in the struggle for the betterment of humanity.
It would not make sense for the current youth to hide themselves behind the contributions made by their forebears, contributions made by the youth of 1976 and 1980's as they can only acknowledge, appreciate and learn from that generation but the big question remains and that is what is the contribution of this current generation, current youth?
Yes, there are many young people who are doing sterling work towards reclaiming and contributing to the economy but is it enough?
We need more young people who will be happy to start their own business, chase their dreams and uplift not only themselves but also their own communities.
The unemployed youth, unhappy youth is tantamount to a very scary and bleak future!

Common mistakes people make when applying for tenders:
1. Not understanding the requirements of the tender
2. Not registered on CSD
3. Not attending tender information sessions that are compulsory
4. Not being compliant with regulations like CIDB, VAT
5. Using expired BBBEE
6. Using expired Tax Clearance or tax Clearance that is not compliant
7. Applying when CIPC AR are not compliant
8. Incorrect pricing or not supplying a pricing schedule
9.Not signing documents
10. Not submitting all the required documents
11. Not following the required format
12. Grammatical errors when writing
13. Submitting late

Creative Hack/Loomehäkk is the biggest creative industry hackathon in the Baltic Sea Region. The aim of this 48-hour hackathon is to bring together people from various walks of life, including different creative fields like designers, artists, musicians, etc. They build teams to develop a prototype with a business model within 48 hours. During this event, participants will gain first-hand experience of teamwork, knowledge of business models and design, as well as the basics and practice of presenting the idea (pitching).

Two main STARTER programs run twice a year and you can choose between STARTERtallinn (led by Tallinn University and TalTech) and STARTERtartu (Tartu University), depending on where you live. In the spring semester, sub-program STARTERhaapsalu is also active in Tallinn University Haapsalu College. In autumn semester three regional sub-programs can be chosen: STARTERpärnu, STARTERnarva, and STARTERkohtla-järve.

The University of Tartu IdeaLab is providing pre-incubation services (workshops, consultation, collaboration with experts and scientists) for all students and University of Tartu early-stage start-up teams.
